Vail Resorts just dropped opening dates and upgrades for the upcoming winter season—and while big names like Vail and Whistler lead the pack, there are lesser-known gems worth your radar.

  • Kindred Resort, Keystone (CO): New ski-in/ski-out luxury resort opening this season. Think slopeside access with boutique hotel vibes.

  • Wonder Routes, Whistler Blackcomb (BC): Custom trails and scenic stops make even North America’s largest resort feel like your personal playground.

  • Andermatt & Crans-Montana (Switzerland): New chairlifts and snowmaking tech = shorter waits and better snow at two underrated Swiss ski spots.

Hidden gem tip: Keystone may open as early as October. Breckenridge and Whistler stretch into May—ideal for late-season turns.
