Feel the heart of Melbourne with a sustainable stay at 1 Hotel Melbourne. The recently opened hotel is nature-inspired and its location along the Yarra River along with the sustainable design makes it an inspiring place to stay!

It’s really cool to hear about how they were able to honor Melbourne’s historic shipping industry by restoring the city’s last heritage goods shed, Goods Shed No. 5. A release notes that more than 2,000 original elements have been reincorporated including bluestone pavers, timber doors, window frames and steel trusses.

The opening is significant as well as its 1 Hotels expansion into Asia Pacific.

"The opening of 1 Hotel Melbourne marks a powerful moment for our brand as we expand in the Asia Pacific region," said Barry Sternlicht, 1 Hotels Founder and Chairman of Starwood Hotels. "As we grow our global footprint, we're focused on markets that reflect our values—places where nature, culture, and innovation converge in meaningful ways. Melbourne is a city that not only understands the importance of sustainability, it celebrates it."

The hotel has 277 guest rooms and 36 suites along with 114 hotel-branded homes.
