From the creators of NIHI Sumba, NIHI Rote & Hospitality Academy is now open on the remote island of Rote, marking the brand’s first expansion into one of Indonesia’s most untouched destinations. Set along the wild coastline of Bo’a Beach, the resort features 21 expansive villas inspired by Rotenese architecture, each with a private plunge pool and open-air design rooted in local materials.

Experiences center on the island’s natural beauty. Guests can access uncrowded surf breaks from Bo’a Barrel to the waves of Nemberla through guided “surfaris,” or explore more than 15 dive sites filled with vibrant coral gardens and marine life.

On land, amenities range from hiking trails and equestrian experiences to pickleball, padel and a full wellness program with visiting practitioners, recovery facilities and tailored treatments. Dining unfolds at NAMMO Restaurant & Beach Club, complemented by organic gardens and a relaxed, beachside setting. The resort reimagines hospitality through its on-site academy, where guests stay alongside local students training in the craft of hospitality.

Travelers can look forward to an experience that creates a meaningful connection between them and the island while supporting long-term opportunities for the local community.
