Taste of Travel Thursday: A Flavorful Escape at Oberschweinstiege, Frankfurt

On our recent visit to Frankfurt, my family and I discovered a gem just outside the city center—Oberschweinstiege, a traditional German restaurant surrounded by peaceful nature. It quickly became one of our favorite dining experiences of the trip.

The menu is filled with hearty classics, and we especially loved the spinach dumplings, Winzerpfanne, and beef roulade Grandmother’s Style—each dish rich with flavor and crafted with care.

What makes Oberschweinstiege even more special is the setting. After lunch, we strolled around the scenic lake and let the kids enjoy the spacious playground right outside the restaurant. It was the perfect blend of authentic German cuisine and family-friendly relaxation.
