This summer, CookSpace Hawaii is inviting travelers and locals to experience Hawaiʻi’s food culture through a new hands-on Summer Reading series. The interactive classes pair guests with cookbook authors and chefs who share the recipes, traditions, and the family stories behind their cooking.

One experience includes a family-friendly class with Sheldon Simeon inspired by his cookbook Ohana Style: Food from Hawaiʻi, for Your Family. Participants will create cheeseburger-style mac and cheese while enjoying friendly competition judged by the Maui chef.

The series also includes a Lao cuisine class led by Saeng Douangdara, giving guests a flavorful and meaningful way to explore Hawaiʻi’s diverse culinary culture.
