DarkSky International inspires photographers through the “Capture the Dark” contest. This year’s contest is now open and invites participants to capture nightscapes through June 30.

A release notes that there are eight categories such as nocturnal wildlife and scenic dark skies over epic landscapes.

The organization is helping raise awareness on the importance of preserving dark skies and our nighttime environment.
