An Invitation to the Sierra: Historic Tahoe Cabins, Now Within Reach

A new collaboration between Hipcamp and the Sierra Club is making some of the Sierra Nevada’s most cherished mountain retreats easier to discover and book this winter.

Travelers can now reserve iconic Sierra Club lodges and backcountry huts around Lake Tahoe directly through Hipcamp. Built nearly a century ago, these properties offer a quieter, more meaningful way to experience Tahoe’s snow season, from drive-in historic lodges near Donner Summit to ski-in-only huts deep in the backcountry.

The partnership not only opens the door for a new generation of winter adventurers, but also supports the long-term stewardship of these storied alpine spaces.
