A New Stop for Golf Travelers: Commons Opens at Sand Valley

Sand Valley has opened Commons, a new 12-hole golf course designed by architect Jim Craig at the resort's property in Nekoosa, Wisconsin. Inspired by the village greens and “common ground” courses of the British Isles, Commons was created to blend golf into the daily life of the resort and surrounding community.

The course marks Craig’s first solo design and features a flexible layout with a double green, multiple crossings. Three closing holes along the shores of Luna Lake provide a scenic finish, including a short par-4 and a Redan-style par-3 that has already drawn praise from golfers and course architects.

Sounds like the perfect scenic destination to enjoy some golf fun!
