This week’s Destination of the Week takes us to Maui, where Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows is welcoming fall with a mix of culture, cuisine and oceanfront relaxation. Set along Kāʻanapali Beach, the 27-acre resort offers 333 guest rooms and 127 private bungalows along with dining, a spa, pools and access to more than a mile of beach.

On September 19, the resort will host Mele for Maui, a free community concert headlined by the Hawai‘i Symphony Orchestra as it returns to Maui for the first time in 10 years.

Food takes center stage October 25 when the Hawaiʻi Food & Wine Festival brings its No EGGScuses, Let’s Brunch! event to the resort for an oceanfront celebration featuring chefs from Hawaiʻi and beyond.

October also marks Hawaiʻi PRIDE month, with Royal Lahaina offering a PRIDE package that includes 20% off accommodations and daily breakfast for two while supporting local LGBTQ+ nonprofits.

Together, the experiences offer travelers several ways to connect with Maui’s food, music, culture and spirit of aloha this fall.
